I love the rhymes. Disco and Nabisco, Fitzgerald and imperilled, man you are the tops :)

Gratitude

2019-04-09
Acceptance and gratitude are calming indeed.

Remember those conversations...

2019-04-09
I am old enough to remember pre-mobile phones and internet and it was a different world. Not better or worse, just different. The point you make is true though I think.

Once

2019-04-09
Unfortunately that is the world today. Nicely done.

Dead & Gone

2019-04-09
Well said.

Dead leaves

2019-04-09
How sad. But beautifully told.

The Beer's Gone, Boys. It's Time to Grow Up

2019-04-09
I like this. It's like cheap alcohol and youth believe they can change the world and older men in comfortable chairs with brandy want to keep it the same. The religious sentiments in this are good too.

Not To Talk Or Run To Wild

2019-04-08
Thank you for the applauds Coo & Co, ken d williams and Thomas DeFreitas :)

Mists

My Old Clothes

2019-04-03
This is so great. You are still you, don't worry. A beautiful soul with a gifts that time cannot take away. Celebrate your individuality and wonderful skill with words. As you say in the last paragraph, laugh as a child :)

Uncooperative Endings

Thank you for the applauds ken d williams, Thomas DeFreitas and josephus :)

Lowcountry Swing (A tribute to Thomas’ recent old dry dock poem)

2019-03-29
Great stuff. Who would have thought that Willy Nelson and Frank Sinatra sat side by side in a jukebox. You mention karaoke so it must a recent scene. Did you sing?

The Old Dry Dock

2019-03-29
I love it. The atmosphere is captured and the rhymes are great.

Great Expectations.

2019-03-29
Well done :)

Limbo

2019-03-29
Maybe we all live in limbo. Waiting for things to get better. I like this.

It's All the Rage

2019-03-29
This is great. And unfortunately true. I am happy to have a drink with you through the fourth wall. Clever.

for laurie bird

2019-03-23

Two Poems, Call Them What You Will

2019-03-19
I like the "there's a" litany. I like it all actually. It runs like a novel.

Sunday

2019-03-19
I really like this. Dad's always have a breakfast homily. And I smiles at the hope of homework "miraculously done". You have a fine memory for details.

Leadville, Inexplicably

2019-03-19
Fathers have a subtle influence on us. We are drawn to their persona as if by magic.

Minstrels

2019-03-19
Wonderful. It is like I am there. And it happens every weekend! I love the rhymes too. I think I will have a beer with Fierce Frank in the Thirsty Old Newt, he sounds like a character :)

Human Nature

2019-03-19
So true. I like humanity, it's just people I can't stand.

To be free...

2019-03-19
I hope he is free now from the bad memories. I continually cannot believe how horrid people can be to people of their own species. It is good that people like you continue to pass on their story. In hope it will not happen again. But unfortunately it does.
This is what poets do. They are the conscious of a sad world. Bravo.

A WOMAN OF CHRISTCHURCH NEW ZEALAND! (An Added Line)

2019-03-19
Well done Ken. It is good to hear a positive heroic story from such a tragic event.

Anaďs and Henry

2019-03-18

The submerged cathedral

2019-03-08
Well done. It was like I was there seeing it all unfold :)

Slam Poetry

2019-03-08
It's just a variation of rap. In your face but not very meditative or contemplative. You describe it well.

DAMNED - poetry

2019-03-08
Nope. You'll just have to keep on writing :)

Shanghai

2019-03-08
Really? Even in the 80's. I suppose it is so polluted now, even visually. I heard the government was trying to do something about it.

Searching for Sustenance

2019-03-08
Even though it is bleak you make it sound great. Maybe because I am a city boy.

Goodbye Baby and Bathwater

2019-03-08
Thank you for the applauds F.i.in.e Moods and Thomas DeFreitas :)

Scene in Early March: 83rd Letter

2019-03-06
I like to be an observer and create stories about scenes I pass as a passenger in a car. It is as if time stands still for a moment. I liked this although it sounds like the beginning or end of a long story.

Ash Wednesday

2019-03-06
Nicely done. Sparse use of words for maximum effect.

Earth

2019-03-05
Made me smile :)

Look Who's Back in Town

2019-03-05
Great story. At least the job is an honest one.

Life Made Anew

2019-03-05
Simply beautiful. I love the idea of everything being circular. It gives us hope for the future and understanding of the past. Lovely rhymes and sweet sentiments create a landscape at peace in a world where such reflections are dearly needed.

2019-03-02
Thank you to Thomas DeFreitas, josephus, ken d william, Bibek
and F.i.in.e Moods :)

What Didn't Happen

2019-03-02
We remember odd things at times. Who knows why synapses fire like that. They are like a miss-tuned car at times. Sounds like you had a lot of innocent fun in those days. Ah the bohemia of youth. Well done indeed.
