Dreams I

dancing through my dreams
are vibrant coloured pools
and birds on speaking roundabouts
baked bread that fills a room
lustful admirations
and candy tasting beans
an alien chanting beat songs
with electric tambourines
flashing silk espresso cups
and a tiny frozen hand
mother and father caressing me
while faraway a land
three-eyed newts and goblins
from a book I never read
and a wise old man recounting
my dreams to me instead

Playful and surreal as dreams often are - when not scaring the living daylights out of you...
Cool poetry from a cool poet! My little smile won't go away... Thanks!
Just close your eyes for a few seconds while I steal that lovely smelling bread...

Delightfully surreal and engaging. Espresso cups made of silk, or is it the tambourines that's flashing the silk? Either way: dreamy.
