Thanks to Peter for the analogy behind the title
Music: Laura Marling - Rambling Man

Real buds breaking through a single plastic rose

I twist my mind
with all my words
every voice shouting at me

I look at him
(him that I would describe had I not bound my words from doing so)
with all my words ready
every sentence planned and mapped out

and my will falters

my words don't matter
they could be untrue tomorrow
they could be based on things that are not real

I yell and scream and rage
through the forest as I run
falling upon myself
upon my shadow out there in the dark

letting out a hushed cry to myself as I realize the truth I always knew

I no longer trust myself to see what is real, to know what I feel, to understand. And no man can save me from this

I am tired of my failure that I fear will become repetitive

The title suggests optimism, the poem is doubtful. The images are of flight and fear. I think this is a powerful, unresolved poem.
