Burn every word that eroded into lies
let them crumble and fade into nothingness

Wash and scrub them and their burns in me

Build a pile with your sweet words
and the cruel truths
On the top of the pyre
I put you and your honeyed tongue

Able to justify
breaking me

I set it afire

and walk away

I certainly can feel the anguish behind these words. I like the imagery used too. For me it sends a message of resolute defiance. A stand against all the deceit. Enjoyed the read.
