Where the jealous day is sucked to the brilliant stars
Where fragility is the tremble of the orchid
The hand will caress again the orchid

Comparing pinks in memories of mauves
The longing hours will refuge in the known stars
And laugh about the coyness of suitors

And when one day a ring is found
Atop a single flowering sentry orchid
Whose petals speak secrets to the mountain

Pinks will scream a woe for sweet dark mauves
Sing lullabies in bitter tones of lost coy
And capture all the radiance of the stars

Delicately, the orchid stem will break

Her heart will bleed out in rivers of pure mauve
To soak into the history of the mountain.

And should you walk this ancient moving mountain

Bring forth your coy upon a scarf of brave mauves
Extoll it to the mountains with your sword
And shelter deep the orchid from the accusing glare of stars

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
I agree with Nancy, and I found images of King Arthur's court in the words, not specifically, but that magical tone.

Nancy Sikora The PoetBay support member heart!
Full of beautiful imagery and symbolism (and a little bit of magic.)

Immaculate Mauve.
