Bridal Veil

If you and I

Were ghosts in love

We’d climb the cliffs of Doubt

Above the sea of Fear

You’d cover my streaming hair

With veils of Fantasy

And our ghosts who fell in love

Would find their bridal veil.

They loved each other beyond measure
They captured their smiles like golden treasures
To keep them together, time failed it's test
Away in this world, together in the next

It's a beautiful piece.. I somehow feel a personal connection to it (no I'm not a ghost :p).. It shows love, yearning, patience and final redemption..

Thank You for sharing

The spirit of love has no knowledge of what cannot become for the gift of love has no shame or ending; the meaning of forever and ever. Great write!

Ghostly Lovers without doubt and fear would cover each other with bridal veil...... Splendid and the imagination beyond skies. A poem to ponder and smile at times of becoming ghost.. :)

wow, if my cat could read, he would fall in love with you!

This is magical.

A poem and a beautiful Poem at that.

my reaction is much the same as rob's. i would add that i felt a gothic tone à la wuthering heights.

but there's more to it. the romance belies something deeper which i can't quite reach. but that's okay. as with everything, it's about the journey, and this poem is a journey of sorts.

me being me, i find it a bit beyond romantic, into sensuousness.
