The Gray Woman Smiled

The Gray Woman smiled under masks of Rain
She had closed her eyes to the pain a million years ago
Before the veils had cried in skies of blood of closed
Before the very ones who were to be supposed
Departed one world for another plain
Expanded, shrank and rose tinted smoke went dancing through circlet halos of Light~
The Gray Woman found her sword sharp as the baited breath of Death and waited,
All her thought became as one as she stood just beyond the frozen veils of smoky light, invisibly still in a blindfold mask of Night frighteningly real with sword of otherworldly steel in one pale, slender hand in the other a book the cover worn the pages burning her pale beautiful fingers plaited~
Before the very ones who were to be supposed
Before the veils had cried in skies of blood and closed
She had closed her eyes to the pain a million years ago
The Gray Woman smiled under masks of Rain .

I love it especially the repetition of the opening and closing lines
