Incoherent thoughts on violence, but violence is very coherent and real.

I turn inside
For some time

Numb to the blurred
Landscape of the day

The assassin
The bullets in the gun
The explosion that killed him.
The reasons for it all.

Hush! No more secrets
The world is different
In every generation
It is one step farther
From a simple life

The broken parts connected
Humanity is broken
Hate persists ... expands
overtaking like a black hole
in the universe

Personalities switched
This is no time to be small
The day exploded like dynamite
Slowly, in my drifting skies.

Unfortunately what you write here is true on a world level and on a personal level. It must be so hard to deal with. Feelings go on forever but acts of violence are over in a second. That is so unfair. Hugs.

i don't see how one's thoughts can be anything but incoherent, it's too big and too complicated to grasp. but writing of it, trying to make sense of it, is the human thing to do.

one of the saddest aspects of this is that we're creating a generation of young people who are learning hatred, racism, divisiveness is the norm, and they're choosing sides.

Oh, Yes Ashe, you expressed yourself so well. If feel what you feel. Your words tell me, move me. I am saddened and sickened. I feel my world and it's beauty whimper as it lay dying.
Very powerful and very poignant. kathy
