WALK THE BATTLEFIELD

Not all angels reside in heaven is what the picture said
Many walk the battlefield to fight instead
Battle after battles, so much blood shed
Innocent people, soldiers never leave their dead
Brothers fight to keep each other alive
Do what they do, to survive
Fighting a war with nothing to gain
After the war, battle alcohol and cocaine
They either walk the battlefield on the sand or at home
Soldiers need to know they are never alone
Angels on the battlefield is what they are
They fight to protect us near and far
They will forever have scars
Soldiers walk the battlefields in their minds
Never goes away, but gets easier with time
Walk the battlefield

I have so much respect for the soldiers who give all for Us. Unfortunately, They don't get what They need at home to deal with the wounds, so They can live with the scars. Very well written and expressed.
