Healing Touch

A healing touch
A gentle smile
Lets sit and talk a while
You lay there in bed alone
Talking about when you can go home
I tell you hopefully soon
A faint smile and you close your eyes
Telling the family their loved one has died
A healing touch to families shoulder
Trying to ease their pain
Tears fall from their eyes
Balloons released to the skies
Healing touch from a friend
Now this day must come to an end
