Parsifal The Magician--a private story.

I Remember

Down on the shore
We told tales
Of Phan
A pale male beauty
Coiled in mortal sleep

We sat by the grass
You and I on the sand
We watched the sun rise
We would want him back
And eased him into the sea

Points of light on its surface
“I remember.” Parsifal said
“I remember,” and that’s enough
To roll up the years
To feel the waves pull

To find his honey’d body
Silent on the grass
To watch the dew drip
And see life slipping away
We remember

And that was enough
But our past had no future
And our present was a mess
He asked me to be his widow
And I said yes

Dark fish swam in the muddy waters
Phan was a beauty
Laying on the sand
Playing with his forever hair
Gazing out through the trees

Laying by the shore
A beauty in pale sleep
The tide took hold
And drew him in.
Pictures of a life
Pictures of his face

I remember.

Words listen to you and come flowing towards you. A magical tale told in a beautiful way... the words fall ever so softly that while my heart breaks, these words hold me and cushion me too. Lovely, Ashe

In its sad, doomed ways, t is beauty that triumphs in this tale so deep, so dense with emotion .... what a beautiful, powerful epic.
