epiphany rules the proud wave

epiphany rules the proud wave
you named your own
nights when there is no light
above the rolling tide

solemnity she whispered
is another name for solitude
walking in one man's shoes
just before the break of dawn

tiredly she turned the tree
in a different fashion
leaving all dead weight behind
in a last call for more

I on the other hand still dive
in my own personal eternity
grasping for winged creatures
gaping at the coming night

solve me not in disdain
or lethargy heavier than I
this night I am yours by quote
tomorrow is a dark dream

This one took me lots of thinking and puzzling over. Sort of undoing and redoing backwards and forwards.
Just when we think we have the all the answers, we most certainly do not. It's in the not knowing, and realizing that we do not know, that we are opened to find. Because then we are grasping, meaning our minds our open and willing to learn.
Am I anywhere close?

I do enjoy reading your poetry. It's always a challenge and I love it. kathy
