Use the off button

Some bloke babbling away on the radio about this and that,
On his high horse about that and this,
An audible wallpaper,
Bloody phone in's, who's idea what that anyway?
I bet it came from America, it fits,
Everybody an expert on this and that,
"Phone in and have your say"
At last someone interesting,
But wait,
We have an advert for a new car,
And a lady explaining how her extra absorbent tampons are the real deal,
Now where were we?
Oh yes,
Some bloke babbling on about this and that,
I refuse to tune in,
I refuse to here the self appointed experts,
Use the off button.

It probably did come from the US. It's an epidemic here. If possible, dig it up and poison it before it roots in the UK. Otherwise, come harvest, you'll be surrounded by bushels of overripe Trumps.

Funny, a bit clunky at times but that's the charm of this poem.

It's good to use the off button and enjoy silence. Good thoughts. Well written.
