Ramblings 310

i think it'd be more than horrifying to describe

what appears behind my closed eyes

when i try to settle myself for a restful night's sleep,

and what inevitably comes every time, to steal me away

they are moments from long ago, feeling like it's now though,

and my body, mind get trapped, screaming without release

to this very day, i'm afraid to try to go to sleep

every time, it all comes back, you see

between being half-asleep, and half-awake, i get

ensnared as though these yesterdays are right now

it makes me freak out 'cause the terror

and the pain is more than real each time

taking me, beating me, on the verge of killing me,

over again, and it all starts over and over...

i'm going crazy in this loop

this needs more than to die

It must be so horrible for you. I wish there was something I could do or say that would help. But all I have are big polar bear hugs for you.

We can not truly imagine how things can be unless one has lived the experience(s) one self. Without experience our understanding is drawn in an emotional vacuum. Yet the straight forward honesty of your words, without fanfare or drama, fills that vacuum and affords the reader the opportunity to move closer to true understanding of the impact events can have on the mind and a persons future well being.

It is not a simple matter to capture the vagueries of the mind and how it can effect our daily lives but here I feel you have achieved that so very well.

A courageous post which has touched my soul.

avec la douleur, souvent on ne sait pas d'où elle vient. pourquoi un souvenir fait si mal? alors qu'une douleur physique est clairement identifiée quand elle n'est pas psychique.

These aren't ramblings, these are insights. Finding truths isn't always about searching for peace, sometimes it's just the opposite. I hope that you can find peace in your truths.
