Babydoll

You sat there in your pretty pink dress
Your smile lovely and bright
Your eyes twinkling in the light
Then you had a bad fall
You sat there in your black wheel chair
Your smile frightfully dull
Your eyes dead inside
I had hoped you would pick yourself up after that fall, and become the babydoll you once were, but you never did, and maybe now that you're dead, you'll put yourself back together in heaven again.

Sadness lingers till the end. Well crafted.

I really like this poem. the ending is wonderful and the entire poem is heartfelt without seeming so at first glance.
