Ramblings 320

- 20 years this year...

October, here you're coming

you're taking over me

it's coming soon

and I'm trying to fend you off

without much success

here I am thinking of your face

your lifeless body when I came upon you

how it felt in my arms to hold you so

you never saw my tears

never heard my cries

you were so long gone

when I finally found you

you never felt my cuddles

you never felt my tears falling

on your face, and you never

felt my body trembling against yours

there's a measure of anger from me

for your decision to cut it all short

there's also a lot of guilt that everyone

tells me doesn't belong to me now

I'm trying after all of these years

to convince myself of their opinion

I know I loved you more than anything

and your decision had nothing to do with me

or anything you felt you could ever explain

so it's really time for me to bury this

October, you'll always belong to him

but you won't suffocate me anymore

October must always be sad for you. I hope one day soon it slips past without horrible memories. Hugs my friend.

There's something so real and passionate in this poem. Makes me almost jealous

c'est difficile commenter et trop triste la fois. je crois que moi, je ne supporterais pas. merci pour ce beau texte.

In one of his graver moments, Oscar Wilde told us, "Where there is Sorrow, there is holy ground." This is a poem of such evident grief and anguish that one hesitates to comment other than to say: I'm sorry for your loss.
