Why Night is Late

Morning asked the afternoon
“Will you not be coming soon?”
“No” it said all down in mouth
“Night is losing time down south”
For ignoring change turning brings
His mind is lost on other things
So morning had to stay awhile
Kept cool my earth with gentle smile

Nicely done. We have turned the corner at last here in the north. Night still reigns, but the days are growing longer.

This poem is a delight. And the rhythm is secure and strong.

This is simply brilliant, as is all you write. So very logical of night and morning is so very pleasant and refreshing. *
