Freefall

dawn trembles
night passes

like feather
soft & alight

sinking & falling
this fragile life

pitches below
into the depths

of curdling
dank darkness.

a trespasser
unknowingly now

treads upon
the fallen, forgotten

banyan leaf.

It floats down like a gentle leaf. Well done. The banyan tree reflection shows us the truth of our world.

You have a way with images that leave the reader transfixed with your poems. Very nicely done.

I reread my comment, and it doesn't reflect how much I appreciate this poem. It doesn't try to do too much. By being understated it amplifies each statement and image.

I think this is very nice, gentle and graceful, with a sense of something more than it would first appear.
