Lives Fall To Earth

Lives fall to earth
As over-ripened fruit
Wallowing in excess
Rolling in decadence
Until finally bursting
In the colorful avarice
Of their self indulgence

I fear there is nothing for me to do
But I am happy I landed next to you

I loved the poem but the ending was the best. So heartfelt that it made me jealous not to have someone feel that way about me. It's what everyone wants to hear. Well done!

This has to be one of the most beautiful expressions, of what is pure love in a time of total despair, that I have ever read. The poetry of this explains and evokes so many emotions.
