Without apology the shiny jewels were cast

From new found laughter

They spilled from the heart

Which had been silenced so long

Embedding themselves in the soil

Like pennies from a pocket

Searched for in vane

By the keeper of deep thoughts

Some caught the light

And reflected that which they absorbed

Some were sucked to the earth

And held in a dayless vacuum

Some were picked up

And cherished for their worth

And some of those were pawned

To be kept as a trophy close

But one shone freely

Beautiful every hour

Sitting in a museum

Adored by passers by

Who laugh in shocking admiration

And jewels spill all over

To Embed the earth with glory

And cast a fierce light hence
