**lyrics from The Hotel California.

Dark Esque Night

I watched silently

as the low fog rolled in

The ocean waves crashed on shore

and the dark-esque strangeness began.

Sitting on the lawn table

an iguana carcass,

with a flower in its mouth

and liqueur on its breath

started singing to me.

Lavender guitars wailed

as the ocean fish did a samba-type dance.

That's when I got up to go.

This was a game I didn’t want to play.

Then I heard the voice say:

“you can check out any time you like,
but you can never leave!”

Nice poem and style

Your words are better than The Eagles's lyrics. Kind of strange but interesting.

Must be vodou, blown in from Haiti.
