Sometimes

Sometimes
I try to pull myself into my body
Sometimes I can.

I feel myself unscrolling
From my head
Down to my shoulders,

My chest,
Down to my hips
And I try to hold it.

Its a physical, definite sensation.
But its as if my-self
Is a stubborn window shade.

The minute I loosen my grip,
It goes snapping back up
Leaving only the faintest breeze.

I live in my head and my hands
The mouth that kissed him
And the hands that held him.

This my dear poet is called "A State of Being" Knowing who you are on a much higher level while pondering; what is all this about?
You are really good at what you do. Keep on telling it like it is. Sometimes has been at my door as well.

There's a certain magic to this piece
that cast a spell over me, a subtle sexiness:

"I live in my head and my hands
The mouth that kissed him
And the hands that held him"

Lovely!

Bravo Poet! ))

What an interesting sensation. It is so hard to stay in a moment of time. And quite often we don't treat those times as we should. For they are wondrous but often fleeting. We snap back into something else just as you write. I love this one.

Nice read.
The metaphor makes it sound lighthearted but doesn't take away the gravity.

Ashe, I love this! After being away for so long, this is the first poem I have read. This is deeply moving. The visual and the emotional are perfectly matched. I believe this is one of the very best poem I have ever read on here in almost 11 years. Brava!

there is no escaping the mind-body problem, especially when the sensations are so palpable.
