Sometimes Finds Me Feeling

Sometimes finds me feeling
Dumb as a broken door handle
Sharp as grandmaís butter knife
Bright as a burned out candle
Empty as a cold handshake
Smart as fatherís dazzling ties
Attractive as cheap perfume
Transparent as a politicial lies
Lost as a coin from a pocket hole
As awkward as unmatched socks
Shy as a pauper in a huge palace
As much use as junkyard clocks
Sad as a parrot talking to himself
Clever as a fork in a bowl of soup
As crazy as an apple drunk on cider
Silly as a sergeant without a troop
Slow as a turtle with a walking frame
Lazy as a sloth on Sunday morning
Down as a bucket in an deep well
Tired as a dog waking up yawning
