A peace treaty signedSo the people thought
That was it,
World War One was over
OFFIALISED!
Last ''t'' crossed and ''i'' dotted
Though some had believed November 11, was The End of it!
Belived, there's, the end WARS! - fat chance of that!
The ink not even dry - sporadic wars broke out!
Though the use of gas - outlawed - Britsh government - gave the OK
to the R A F - to drop bombs full of gas on locals in Iraq in the early 1930's!
The British had a lot left over from world War one, don't you know!
Now the year now is 2017, looking back over the subsequent, history
At all the wars since
WORLD WAR ONE, just never really ended!
Just flared up, like a fire, put one out, another fire breaks out!
Wars, are like that, smoldering unnoticed, till, there it is small flames
Then larger flames, to a bush fire, cities on fire, country's on fire,
Till whole continents were in flames,
Eventually, the whole world burning!
The world - has just never been at peace, since 1914!
