OH YOU ANCIENT OAK TREE!

Oh you mighty oak tree, hear I rest against your old nalde trunk
I wonder what you have witnessed through your many years?
From your advantage point up high from here?
How many bairn's, conceived under your branches?
Children's swings, dads have hung up over the years, from your branches?
You have seen them grow from innocent kinder, then into nieve youths?
Did you see them marched off to wars, not to see a few them not returning
To sit here, as I am now, talking to you now, as I am worrying, as it looks like
It's happening yet again!
Oh mighty oak, what history have you witnessed, from hear?
Do you weep, as I am, weeping now? for all the joy, that was - so brief
Terrible events, are constantly, repeated, over the many years?
I came hear to sit here, to let you know, dear old Oak tree, what you have seen - is going to

HAPPEN YET AGAIN!

A majestic write, the history trees witness, makes you think, humbling.
