Taking Chances

Life is all about taking chances,

Because if you don't you may never know what might be.

I am so afraid of the unknown,

Because truth be told it scares me.

However, if you don't take the chance on life,

You may miss out on other things.

Such as love and happiness,

And all the good things that life brings.

I think I know what I should do,

But I'm holding back because of my past.

My heart has been broken many times,

It scares me to think that things with you may not last.

Life is all about taking chances,

And that's what I must do.

Just recently I opened up,

And told you how I once felt about you.

Only once before did I tell how about how I felt,

That was so long ago and now I must ask,

Do I feel the same way about you today?

Answering that isn't a simple task.

I must answer it truthfully,

By searching deep within my soul.

I know for a fact it won't be easy,

But you could be the piece to make me whole.

Life is all about taking chances,

I won't know the out come til I try.

Sometimes the risk is worth it,

It's time I wipe my eyes dry.

Am I ready to move forward in life and love?

Am I ready to allow someone to love me?

Am I ready to take the chance,

To see how things can be?

I believe it's now time to take a chance,

To see if we can be happy in life and love!
