Desolation

Wrap November round, cold cloak,
forsake felicity, factface, fear-free,
accept, expect, an end impending.

Abide the bad bidding: body's
worst weather waits. No word, no work
undoes disaster, despond, death.

Silence, self-suffer. Seek no stall, no stay.
Pain keep unprofaned, phrase no plaint,
lift no least lament. Be done unto.

Do nothing, fight fought. Trust what must, will.
Leave no lamplight lit. Let night blot, bring
blight, bleak be. Bold, beg naught but brave.

I envy your ability to play with words. Like a magician, you bring them out, hide them, or keep them flowing without end.. Desolation flows and flows like clothes hanging on the line on a windy day. Fascinating.
