Ignition

And there you were. The perfect image of ‘good for me’,
but I didn’t know it yet
With eyes like rosewood, you saw me for the first time in years,
and in that moment,
I didn’t know I would be thinking
“I hope I don’t disappoint you after so long.”

A love like a sail, you guide me towards the sunrise,
Saying that the sun deserves to see me every morning.
You hold me steady on the bow of life’s boat,
Making sure I feel the embrace of my infinite.

My lantern is dark, the light is but a small ember.

Ignite me.
