Rising and Setting

It's dawn,
but night time
realisation has visited,
left an imprint
that has the sun rising
behind my eyes
feeling the light
filling a space
where thoughts linger
flooded by pain,
I can choose
Sunrise or sunset,
Either way I see the colours.

So much going on in these lines that ring a bell, so to speak, in my memory. I particularly liked the effect of L3-L6, strikes an impression I can't quite describe (sorry), but it's one that makes me feel, and creates a strong sense of a moment that is in the reins of something other than the speaker's hands. Feels a bit off-mark to say I enjoyed 'cause the feelings in this are so sore, but I enjoy how well you write. Thanks.

Dawn, with night lingering, can be a very dark time. This rings true.
