OH WHY DID WE HAVE TO DIE? (WW1)

We died on the battlefields, we never know just why we perished there
as we did know we know not the why fore's, who fore's
something about the empire, the King, God and country, somert to do
wif do with demorosey, somert to do wif voting, never been able to vote
I were only 19 so not I supost the right age, and me old mum and dad have no property, so cant vote anyway, not that me mum could vote, anyway, wimin did not have the vote, would they have voted for war, voted for us to die, like we were, doing
by the thousnds, evrey day
what are rights grenteed, all about?
serch me, just what did we die for?
wondering what they will say about us dieing in a hundred years from now
will they say just why we died on the battlefields?
many like me had no proper educatan, most of us could not string along a line of
words like the offiers, them proper educaited, unlike us, we went to local schools
leveing at 13, some at 12
we the unedcaited, died, not knowing why, we died
we the ingolyes, cos no glory in dieing, belive me, that I could see, as me blood porde out in the mud, dust, made mudy by our sheding blood
oh why, what for did we die?

Well done, ken. I guess it's because of
the greedy, wanting what others have.
And will fight for it, not caring who dies.
