WHEN A FREIEND APPEARS TO BE GONE!

When your friend appears to be gone
With out a word, leaves
No reason was given
Leaves just traces found
Of that friend had been
Leaving you with questions
'' Something I said?''
'' Something I did not say? ''
Filling you with a sense of guilt
Only you do not know why - all the same

To not know why is both a curse and a blessing. Not for want of feeling but perhaps of motive, words are a balm or when weaponised hold sway or power over others. As social beings our choices affect all. Thanks for sharing.

People are strange Ken. Who knows what goes on in their head. Nice work here.

So much wisdom, and heart-ache. Friends keep their 'friends' inside their soul, Ken. You are such a warming soul. We love you, dear friend.

Been there, experienced that. I know the feeling, Ken.

Ken, sometimes the leaving is sudden and sometimes it is gradual over a period of time. And one just wakes up to find that the person who was real and present once or you thought so was really there has long left but you have only realised now.
Keep writing! Be easy!

It is a haunting without an answer. It is a grieving of sorts. The unknown is hard to deal with. I hope writing gives you some relief. I hope your friend will somehow contact you again, Ken.
You are in my thoughts. kathy

Sometimes it's just a mystery, timing and not really anyone's fault, but it's the not knowing that eats away at us.

It is very hard to lose a friend, especially when we Don't know the reason why.
Very well done.
