This has no rhythm or rhyme, just fear and sorrow for my planet, Earth.
I weep.

Irma has kicked up her heels,
laughing and roaring!
She was seen dancing with Harvey over the ocean
Until he rushed off in a fury to Houston, Texas

Irma called his name and swore she would show him her strength

Turning and whirling, letting her fury grow with every turn

She tore through the islands of the Caribbean, and then wants to take on all of Florida
Nobody know where she'll go after that.

Age old trees that once reached the sky
She will leave scattered on the ground like tombstones,
No longer alive
Uprooted, twisted and mangled
Crashing through houses leaving power lines tangled.

She will follow us everywhere we go
There is no place to hide
She will be on her way.

For days she's been screaming
screaming her name so he won't forget her
Her fury untamed until death and destruction
is all she will leave behind.

Her name is Irma, she is screaming,
She's kicked up her heels, laughing and roaring.
Leaving nothing behind, but death and despair.

I weep.

So it is all Harvey's fault? Figures. You describe the fury and destruction well. The sadness it creates is unimaginable really.

Nicely put together, I feel the fear and sorrow, I weep with you. All the death, destruction and history is so hard to take.

A very good write on those terrible storms.
A great job. Good read. So sad for those
in those storms.

This is whirling like the Erma! She is powerful and you've described her and her path with a kick and a lash. I've got a son and daughter-n-law living in South Central Florida. They are ready as they can be. As mom, I am not. I pray the fronts will come and move frantic Erma back out into the Atlantic where she will cool off and rest her ire. Thanks Ashe for posting.

Bravo, Ashe, I have four good, friends in F.L, I am thinking out them all.

I'm sitting here watching the devastation on the news having just read your poem.
You have nailed it!
I fully understand your despair.
