Where Life Is

Life is there on the nightly news
In the children playing next door
It is old people walking their dogs
The tiny beetle roaming the floor
The telemarketer annoying you
Family coming around for a meal
And at night with all the lights off
Life is those emotions you still feel

The tiny beetle reminds me of Whitman's aperçu that "a mouse is a miracle enough to stagger sextillions of infidels." Good job! And the telemarketer, too!

I love this poem.

Life is all around us, in all we do and see. You have touched me deeply with this poem. Thanks!

Ah yes, totally agree with these words. Reflections that are similar to what I think about at times... Feels like a lot of emotions coming through to me... and it touched me. Thanks :)
