Too Tired To Twinkle

I see the night has his coat on
But he has very clouded eyes
The moon forgot his hat again
For when the stars materialize
They will be out there all night
Dancing billions of miles away
Come morning they’ll go home
Too tired to twinkle in the day

What a sweet poem! Of course, just like a reverse Cinderella, they must disappear as soon as the sun starts to come up. Beautiful and mysterious twinkling stars! I love it.
