Faithful Puppy Dogs

People are never as they seem
A heroís life or a miscreantís dream
They all melt together one and the same
Only faithful puppy dogs know their own name

Liked the analogy, Dave.

Faithful and true, us humans alas, can't say the same. An emotive four lines.

Your insight into who we are as people is true. We carry the possibility of both evil and good within us. Puppies, on the other hand, are innocent through and through, just like infants. I believe we can see the truest nature of people by how they treat children, dogs, and old folks. The last line of your poem is so very profound.

This is so sweet and so profound. A dog never judges and always forgives unless mistreated. Good poem
