PRAYER: by Ann Wood

"My Queen pretends,
Mother of my hope,
Protector of Orphans and Advocate of the Strangers, Protector of the oppressed,
Salvation of the Dead and Joy of All Mourners.
You see my trouble,
You see my pain and sorrow.
Help me,
because I am weak;
guide me, because I am a stranger.
You know my sorrow - deliver me,
as you please.
For I have no other Assistant besides You,
another Advocate,
Our Goodness Comforter - I Only Have You, O Mother of God. I have sinlessly sinned and sinned before You and before the people.
But be me, Mother,
Comforter and Assistant,
save me and save me.
He has driven me from sorrow, grief and humiliation.
Help me, Mother of my Lord. Amen! "
