As a Picture

Born on the side of a mountain
Has one leg longer than the other
Washes rags with cinnamon soap
Struggles hard to get up a lather
Shoes made of wood and hemp
Body lotion extracted from geese
She has long varicose veins
Like lines of busy city trains
And knobbles on back of her knees

But she is honesty in personification
Reality in textural observation
A post-impressionist dream
Throw paint on canvas and scream
Hoping for a fair conglomeration
