of mystery novels,

because success came early to me,

because I have sold movie rights,

because celebrity

has its benefits, I have an apartment 

overlooking Central Park, an estate outside

of London,

a ranch in Wyoming, a villa in St. Tropez,

and because none of this is true,

I conclude

that credibility is worth something,

words matter, and what is said

has consequence.
