2000. She has to walk every day, no matter what. Has leg problems.

The Little Lady

The little lady
Walks her folding
Cart around...
You see her everywhere
With her cart
Every day
Picking up soda cans
To exchange for food

It matters not
The weather
Rain or shine-
Snow or wind-
She's there
Walking her cart

I saw her
Christmas eve day
With her shopping cart
And a bag of food;
I didn't know her
Yet, I went to her
And wished her
A very Merry Christmas
And oh,
The smile on her face
