Each New year we vow to make changes and all too quickly we revert to the familiar. This year I am determined to make that change.

Out with the old!

Festivities over and return to the norm
Goodwill survived till the end
Back to work and following form
Our daily existence again we defend

Meeting with colleagues, shaking their hand
Salutations fall easy on the ear
Resolutions not quite followed as planned
Broken promises of a "happy New Year"

Nose to the grindstone working away
The holiday season a memory past
Merriment shared begins to fray
Another deadline approaches too fast

The old year has gone replaced by the new
Yet it seems that things never changed
But I look at life now with a different view
My office space has been rearranged!
