Psalm 2

Eternal One, I sit short-sleeved

beside the cold porch door.

Merciful One, I sit gray-bristled

on an early Monday morning.

Holy One, I sit big-bellied

at the wooden kitchen table.

Compassionate One, I sit,

wretched bumbler needing grace.

Generous One, I am craving

the first cup of coffee.

Mighty One, give me strength

to accomplish the day's doings.

Patient One, bear with me

as I mess things up often.
