Love has gone away.

I remember stalking the streets with you at night
And endless conversations
Us two teens philosophizing our lives
Beyond comprehension
For when we spoke we spoke of everything
Except how we felt inside
Or was it only me who never shared
And is that why our love has died?

Love has gone away and frightfully
I remember when it was
It was when I thought the hassle was
Not worth the gale of love
Because it ceased to lift me up
Much like it did before
When I felt I could soar the heights
And your lips tasted coffee liqueur
It was when I forgot all of that
And this one simple thought I thought
Love has gone away and good riddance
It was a hassle after all.

I know the feeling. Good work. :)

I hate that feeling. But it is often worth it to push on and find a deeper relationship. Infatuation usually turns to hassle.

The path of true love never runs smooth, they'll always be an element of hassle. Liked the line " not worth the gale of love."
