Elmore and George

Blues man James
Sang the sky is crying
Make no mistake
For he wasnt lying
Harrison had a weepy guitar
The world runs on tears
But never takes us far

Now if I had a solid mind
And skipped the news
Perhaps Id find today
A hanky buried in my pocket
To wipe sadness away
Maybe even darn near stop it

Analogies and metaphors
Are all imaginary front doors
To show people where we are
Sobbing beneath our own dark star
