REFUGEES! - NEITHER FISH NOR FOWL! (A work In Progres)

Refugees of times past!
Those time's bad back then!
Time's to day just as bad!
Time's tomorrow - going to be no better!
Times - not so much livening - just surviving - day to day!
Truth be known!
It's funny kind of truth - to be a refugee in your own country
Jobs are few and far between - paying real wages - salarys
Even fewer!
Political party's - extremist - fascist movements - all take advantage
Of the home growing situation - who have less and less to loose
So easy meat - to manipulate - to take it out on the refugees
looking for others to blame!
minds taken off the true coursers of what is going on!

Those who fled hear in the hope - nay expectations - hear they would be safe!
Free from wars - back where they had fled from!
Being blamed - for the situation - going on hear right now!
Fled - from being treed bad - very life's - threatened - family's - as well!
Some just because in some way diffarant!
Made their way hear - only to find - yet again - faced - so much the same!

Being a refugees comes in many forms
Homeless - unemployed - estrange - from family - friendless
A some - on coming across the refuge - maybe in a refuge!
Or sleeping in a doorway - passing while out walking

Neither fish nor fowl!

Strike up a conversation seance a kind of aura about the fellow
Difficult to put in to mere words!

Neither fish nor fowl!

Those in charge - well - or so they believe!
Government - who are voted in - and back in!
The voters - turn - away in increasing droves!
Turn towards extremes - only to find that alternatives - worse!
The faceless - bureaucracy - with faceless bureaucrats to boot
Who run the show!
No wonder there are those who feel they are refugees among refugees!

Now I have come I understand - all of that!

Good words, Ken. Refugees are people who have left all behind to begin again. To talk with them brings tears to our eyes. Someday, it might be us, so let's welcome them and make them feel more at home as we would like it if it were us.

So true, ken. Not much to look forward to these days.
