The Flowers That Fall

My eyes have bathed in the green
And gazed upon the shimmering slates of grey
Sun kissed and rain soaked in turn
Watching storm clouds chase across the fleeting day
The most beautiful of the visions I recall
Are the Flowers that fall

For they have a time to greet the sun
And blaze the trails we take along the way
When both the heart and spirit start to yearn
For days of summer blessed happiness to stay
Nature`s allocation seems too small
For the Flowers that fall.

Our lives enriched in colours at their best
Though always theres the price we all must pay
The longest lasting lesson we must learn
Our amazing gifts of wonder fade away
Even those we love must heed the call
Following the Flowers that fall.
