True: just as the towns and cities in England are starting to look all the same, so the cities in other lands are, too. So what does it matter where we are? It is all the same. Very bleak, and straight to the point. Quite sad, too.

It sounds a bit like a rock and roll-band: The band U2" used to say the same thing: "We go from place to place, country to country, but it all looks the same to us".

Is that the same feeling you are trying to cvonvay in this poem?

Let me ask you this then: do you think that the Pope thinks the same?
He travels and all countries to him are all new and exiting and great.
