Truth In Phrasing

They say that love walks in
But perhaps that is just a lie
I say that he stumbles blindly
A star stuck inside each eye

They say that a heart races
But Iíve never seen the track
For if he knew what was best
Why ever bring on an attack?

And they say that time heals
Have you seen his license?
Sometimes all these things
Make no single bit of sense

They say tomorrow knows
Now thatís the dumbest thing
He hasnít even come to being
And we treat him like a king

I call for truth in phrasing
These things are just crazy
The last straw and the camel
Have made everyone so lazy

Such cleverness, unique ideas, and fine poetry make this a most enjoyable read. As usual, it was a pleasure!

You have proved every single one of these sayings wrong, and you are so right! Life is finally turned right side up and we need to look at it that way. Every old "truth," debunked! Great poem!
Great mind.
