The Left Hand of Dark

Light is something
That covers the dark
A blanket of knowledge
Putting thought to a spark

Life is something
We must experience
It cannot be read about
Or viewed from on a fence

Time is something
Only the old people use
Created to give perspective
When we’ve nothing to choose

Light we are told
Is the left hand of dark
But the coldness of shadows
Has left such a permanent mark

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
A "light" poem, until "shadow" crosses its path, becoming appropriately somber. Life can be very somber.

The title caught my attention, and there I found light and dark and shadow all in one poem. Enjoyed the poem!
