Half Giant, Whole Hunk

Half giant, whole hunk
My toes stretch so that I can reach up
And tally your freckles, the ones you wouldn't keep
The ones I caress after you fall asleep

Gentle giant, sentimental soul
I'm sorry for the sweetness I stole
The tears that I caused, the alcohol you drink
The sinking in your gut when you have time alone to think

Darling one, dedicated friend
I failed you once but won't dare do it again
Holding my hands, nuzzling my neck
Tender runt who bends down to bestow a peck

You are deserving, and better still, loyal and earnest and here

All the things other lovers couldn't handle out of fear

Your love is a treasure, a princess I am only in name, still you treat me just the same

Ginger blessing, you fuck me right the hell up
Big Dick Nick' s got nothing on your things and stuff

I love "tally your freckles." Many fine, vivid touches in this forthright rhyme!
