Clock Dance

A tick to a tock
Moving of hands
Echoes through halls
Mother time understands
Perchance circumstance
For all life to enhance
In the clock dance
In the clock dance

In-between seconds
The world makers exist
Building with blocks
Things we cannot resist

The towers of stone
Upon memories of sand
Falling to the earth
Everything secondhand

A tick to a tock
Showing your face
Hours scare minutes
Until a cosmic embrace
Perchance circumstance
Lovers all coyly do glance
In the clock dance
In the clock dance

I like the rhythm that follows the tick-tock of the clock. You seem to have a knack for rhyming that I admire in your work So, tick-tock, move the hands. I enjoyed reading this.

Yes. This poem likes me a lot. Or I like this poem. Bravo!

I might have to post something in a similar rhythm (I think it's called "skeltonic," two-beat lines that rhyme consistently.)
